The City of Hermiston Building Department is available 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to take your inspection requests. After hours or on weekends, an inspection may be requested by calling (541) 667-5025 and leaving your request on our voice mail.

Inspections which are requested prior to 7:00 a.m. are normally conducted on the date requested; inspection requests received after 7:00 a.m. will be accomplished the following day unless a later date is requested. When possible, same day inspections will be accommodated. If you are requesting an inspection for a specific time, please call and speak with the inspector personally to ascertain if he is available at that time.

Please provide the following information when requesting an inspection:

1. Permit number
2. Address of job site
3. Type of inspection
4. When work will be ready for inspection
5. Contractor's name
