Police Department - Police Officer Position
The Hermiston Police Department is currently accepting applications for Police Officer. College level course work in law enforcement or related field, bilingual capability, and specialized law enforcement type trainings are highly desirable.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the City of Hermiston and the Hermiston Police Association. The current salary range is $4,278 - $5,554 per month without incentives. When factoring incentives for things like education, special assignment, certification, step increases, bilingual, etc. the top paid patrol officer could be $6,687 per month. The updated CBA is currently in negotiation.
City contribution to PERS retirement pursuant to CBA; sick leave, holidays, and vacation leave accruals pursuant to CBA; participation in health and accident insurance and disability insurance pursuant to CBA; uniforms and gear consistent with the job description and pursuant to CBA; and cleaning costs for uniforms pursuant to CBA.
