Hermiston Police News - Holiday Driving Enforcement

Release Date:
11/21/2011

High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) for DUII’s and other crash causing traffic infractions for Thanksgiving weekend.

Members of the Hermiston Police Department will be joining forces with agencies across the State of Oregon putting extra officers on the street from November 24th through the 27th.  As part of Oregon's HVE, Hermiston will have several officers patrolling the City roadways from Thursday through Sunday over Thanksgiving weekend.  These officers will be dedicated to and on grant overtime funding specifically looking for intoxicated drivers and crash causing violations.

The Hermiston Police Department will be doing what we can to keep our streets safe during your Thanksgiving celebrations, Black Friday shopping, Parade of Lights, and all other activities during this weekend.

Please don't drink and drive, as there are easier ways to get face time with your favorite officer.

Buckle up!  Don’t Drink and Drive!
