Hermiston Police News Release - Juveniles charged
On the 24th of January 2011, at approximately 1:05 AM, the Hermiston Police Department was contacted by the management of the Sunshine Court Apartments located at 690 SW 9th Street on a report of several males getting into vehicles in the parking lot.
Officers Bill Golter and Bryan Maess arrived within minutes and immediately took a 15 year old male into custody. The other parties involved fled on foot and with the assistance of the Oregon State Police, (2) additional subjects (a 14 year old male and a 16 year old male) were detained.
Investigation revealed two vehicles in the parking lot of the complex had been entered and property (a stereo speaker) from one had been removed.
The 14 and 16 year old males were charged with Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle (2 counts), Theft in the Third Degree, and Curfew violation.
The 15 year old male was charged with Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle, Theft in the Third Degree, and Curfew violation.
All juveniles were later released to their parents.
