Over the course of the last couple weeks, two reports have been made to City Hall about two unknown males contacting residences and advising the tenants they need to come inside to check their water.

Information at this time is extremely limited but what has been reported is the following:

• (2) males – unknown race
• Driving a an unknown van type vehicle
• The persons are not claiming to be representatives of the City per se but are advising they need to check the water inside the residence

After conferring with the City of Hermiston Water Department, no such activities are taking place on their part now or in the future.  Water department employees will only enter the residence of a citizen upon request of the citizen OR unless there are other circumstances which require it and only after proper notification has been made to the citizen.
