Notice of Public Hearing - proposed annexation - establish zoning designation

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hermiston City Council will hold a public hearing on May 23, 2011, at or after 7:00 PM in the council chambers of the City Hall, Hermiston, Oregon, on the proposed annexation to the City of Hermiston, withdrawal from the Umatilla County Library District, and establish zoning designation of the following described property: 105,000 square feet of land located at 290 E, McKinney Road, owned by Steve and Tamie Watkinds, to wit:

Parcel 2, Partition Plat 1994-18 in the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 4 North, Range 28 East, Willamette Meridian, Umatilla County, Oregon also that portion of Parcel 1 of said Partition Plat 1994-18 being described as follows:

Beginning at the northwest corner of said Parcel 1 and running; thence S 0E 02' 22" W along the west line of said Parcel 1 a distance of 502.08 feet to the southwest corner thereof; thence S 89E 24' 20" E along the south line of said Parcel 1 a distance 5.75 feet to fence corner; thence N 0E06' 47” E along a fence line 175.81 feet to a 5/8” iron rebar; thence continuing along said fence line N 0E00' 55"  E 56.18 feet to a 5/8” iron rebar; thence continuing along said fence line N 0E 03’ 31” W 261.09 feet to a 5/8” iron rebar driven on the north line of said Parcel 1; thence N 89E 23” 58” W along said north line 5.50 feet to the point of beginning.

Subject to a temporary easement for city setback requirements for a shed which lies on said Parcel 1 near the west line of said Parcel 1, over the following described portion of said Parcel 1: Beginning at a 5/8” iron rebar on the west line of said Parcel 1 which lies N 0E 02’ 22” E 175.82 feet from the southwest corner of said Parcel 1 and running; thence continuing along said west line N 0E 02’ 22” E 65.18 feet to a 5/8” iron rebar which lies 261.09 feet south of the northwest corner of said Parcel 1; thence S 89E 23’ 58” E 5.95 feet to a 5/8” iron rebar driven in a fence line; thence S 0E 00’ 55” W along said fence line 65.18 feet to a 5/8” iron rebar; thence N 89E 23’ 58” W 5.98 feet to the point of beginning.

The above-described land shall be designated as Single Family Residential (R-1) on the City zoning map.

The public may appear and be heard on the above stated questions.
