Full City Council Agenda Packets Available Online

Release Date:

The City of Hermiston is continuing its efforts to make more information available to the public by posting the full City Council agenda packets online.  The full packets contain all of the information which is provided to City Councilors including items like feasibility reports, staff recommendations, financial reports and more.

The online agenda packets are available on the city’s recently re-designed website www.hermiston.or.us, and links will also be posted to the city’s social media page www.facebook.com/cityofhermiston.  Prior to meetings, the agenda packets will be available under the “Upcoming Events” section on the front page of the city’s website, as well as under the “Public Records” tab of the site.  This will give interested residents the opportunity to research upcoming City Council issues and easily share that information online.

Residents interested in accessing information about past City Council issues will now also be able to access the full agenda packets by accessing the council minutes under the “Public Records” tab of the city website.  Providing and maintaining this information online will allow residents the opportunity to look more deeply into issues if they become interested after the city council meeting has taken place.

In the past, full agenda packets were provided to City Councilors, interested media, and necessary city staff.  Summary agendas were provided to the public which indicated only brief references to the potential action to take place because of limitations in printing full agenda packets which have the potential to top 100 pages in some cases.
