Hermiston Police News: Hermiston Officer Graduates from Academy

Photo: In order from left to right is/are Lt. Travis Eynon, Chief Jason Edmiston, Officer Freddy Sotelo, and Lt. Darryl Johnson.The Hermiston Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of Officer Freddy Sotelo from the Basic Police Class #332 in Salem, Oregon.

Freddy Sotelo, who was previously a reserve officer with the department, was hired full time July 2nd, 2012.  Shortly after he was hired, Sotelo joined the police academy for their 16 week program.

Officer Sotelo will undergo our field training officer program for several weeks before being released to solo duties.  The Hermiston Police Department is excited to have Freddy on board as he has a vested interest in our community where he and his wife are raising two young children.
