Hermiston Police News - Juveniles Apprehended

On the 23rd of August 2011, at approximately 11:05 PM, alert citizens contacted the Hermiston Police Department and reported (3) males were attempting to get into vehicles in the 1000 block of W. Highland Avenue.

Officers arrived within minutes and contacted (3) brothers in the area of Birch Drive and W. Highland Ave.  After conferring with witnesses and the trio, the brothers were each charged with Attempted Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle.  Two of the brothers, ages 13 and 14 were also charged with Curfew violation. 

The older 17 year old brother had an additional charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon to wit brass knuckles.  The 17 year old who was currently on probation with the juvenile department, was lodged at the juvenile facility in Pendleton.

The 13 year old and 14 year old were released to their mother Marilou Mendoza of 1215 SW 11th Street #113, Hermiston.
