Hermiston Police News: Public Alert

The following serves as a public alert for the citizens we serve:

From the summer of 2008 through today, the Hermiston Police Department has arrested Peter Villarreal 54 times, charging him with 83 different things.  Charges have included criminal activity such as Disorderly Conduct, Offensive Littering, and Criminal Trespass and other violations such as Drinking in Public and Urinating in Public.

Photo: Peter VillarrealMr. Villarreal, 56 years of age, is a transient in Hermiston.  Our department receives numerous calls on the welfare of Mr. Villarreal as he is often observed walking around town and has been known to walk in front of traffic with complete disregard for his well-being.

In October of this year, members of this agency worked with the circuit court system to ensure an evaluation was conducted.  The details of that evaluation and the mental status of Mr. Villarreal is/are protected medical information however this alert is to show members of this agency have tried to get Mr. Villarreal the help we believe he needs.

The Hermiston Police Department would encourage drivers to drive with extreme caution when in the proximity of Mr. Villarreal.
