Hermiston Police News Release - interview of inmate conducted at Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton.

With the assistance of deputies from the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Detective Bill Osborne of the Hermiston Police Department interviewed Onorio Jaime Ibarra 21 years of age of 1942 NE 18th Street, Hermiston, at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton on the 10th of May 2011.

Ibarra had been lodged at the jail on among other things, several probation violation warrants.  Ibarra was charged by the Hermiston Police Department with the following:

  • Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle stemming from a February 6th, 2011 incident in which a vehicle was stolen from the Foxwood Apartment Complex parking lot;
  • Burglary in the First Degree and Theft in the Second Degree stemming from a March 14th, 2011 incident in which a residence in the 1200 block of W Ridgeway Ave was entered and a laptop stolen;
  • Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle stemming from an April 28th, 2011 incident in which a vehicle was stolen from the 900 block of W Eskimo Ave;
  • Burglary in the First Degree and Theft in the First Degree stemming from a May 4th 2011 incident in which an apartment at Viewcrest Apartments was entered and a video game console and jewelry were taken.

As all charges filed by the Hermiston Police Department are felonies, the investigations will be forwarded to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office for review.
