Hermiston Police News: Robbery Investigation

Release Date:
12/03/2012

On the 1st of December 2012, at approximately 10:30 PM, officers of the Hermiston Police Department responded to the Westside 76 Station located at 710 W. Hermiston Ave. on a report of a robbery having just been committed.

There is extremely limited information regarding this crime however it has been reported two partially masked Hispanic male subjects approached the two employees who had just closed the business for the evening.  A firearm was brandished and the money from the deposit bag was demanded.  With money in hand, the two fled northbound toward the Ridgeway Village Apartments.

A single round was fired from a firearm in the area where the duo fled.  We do not believe this round was intentionally fired at the employees and may have been incidental as a result of running away on foot.

Our detective unit continues to work on this investigation yet as stated above, information is/has been very limited.  Anyone with information about this crime are encouraged to contact Lieutenant Travis Eynon who supervises the detectives at 541-667-5103.
