First Armed Robbery Report

On July 21st, 2011 at approximately 12:25 PM, Officers responded to a dispatched armed robbery at CASHCO, 650 South Highway 395 in Hermiston. Information received was the establishment was “just robbed at gunpoint”.

The suspect was described as a black male adult, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, between 18 and 22 years of age, wearing a grey colored sweatshirt, blue jeans, and described as “skinny”. His hair was described as “fuzzy”.

The male received an undisclosed amount of cash from the business, and he appeared to have left on foot. Police units were on-scene in under two minutes from dispatch.

Second Armed Robbery Report

On July 21st, 2011 at approximately 3:20 PM, Officers responded to a dispatch of a second armed robbery at Tienda Tlaloc 55 W Beebe in Hermiston. Information received was the establishment was “just robbed at gunpoint”.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, possibly 5’6” to 5’8” tall, between 18 and 22 years of age, wearing a black colored sweatshirt, red shorts, and described as “stocky”. His hair was described as short brown with a thin mustache.

The male received an undisclosed amount of cash from the business, and he appeared to have left on foot. Police units were on-scene in less than two minutes from dispatch.

Both investigations are on-going.

There is no information that these robberies are connected.

Update - July 22, 9:00 AM

Regarding the two reported armed robberies that took place in Hermiston yesterday:

  • The investigation is continuing on the robbery that took place at 12:25 PM at Cashco.  A person of interest has been identified and once a meeting takes place with the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office, more information may become available today.
  • The investigation of the robbery at Tienda Tlaloc resulted in the arrest and lodging of Erik Estrada, 32 years of age of 30924 Joy Lane, Hermiston.  Estrada was contacted at approximately 1:15 AM and interviewed about his involvement.  Estrada was ultimately charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, Menacing, and Theft in the Second Degree. 

"The unwavering efforts of our officers, has led to the successful conclusion of one of these investigations.  I am very optimistic we will have resolve in the first robbery that took place soon.  There is still no information that links these two robberies together," reports Lt. Jason Edmiston

Update - July 22, 5:30 PM

Photo: Wanted Suspect, Rehyshaun Dominique Joseph SupuniWith the assistance of Daniel Primus, deputy district attorney for Umatilla County, a felony arrest warrant has been issued for Rehyshaun Dominique Joseph Supuni, 20 years of age for Robbery in the First Degree.  Additional charges could be forthcoming once formal charging takes place.

Supuni is considered to be a flight risk as he is known to have ties out of the area.  Supuni should be considered armed and dangerous based on the chain of events that took place yesterday at Cashco in Hermiston.  Supuni is approximately 5’5” tall, 121 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
