Hermiston Police News - Robbery Suspect Charged

On the 20th of July 2011 at approximately 9:39 AM, officers of the Hermiston Police Department responded to the 11th Street Market located at 425 NW 11th Street on a report of a strong arm robbery that had just occurred in which money was stolen from an open cash register.  Officers were on scene in less than a minute of the dispatched call yet the suspect had fled on foot.

Subsequent investigation led to Erik Estrada 32 years of age of 30924 Joy Lane, Hermiston being interviewed at the Umatilla County Jail.  At the conclusion of today’s interview, Estrada was charged with Robbery in the Third Degree and Theft in the Second Degree. 

"The recent choices made by Mr. Estrada are extremely unfortunate as several people have been adversely impacted by his blatant disregard for the law," says Lt. Jason Edmiston.
