Keep Leaves out of City Streets

Release Date:

October 22, 2012

Dear City Residents,

I'm again asking for your help in properly disposing of leaves this fall.

City crews will be busy sweeping and disposing of the large volume of leaves which fall directly onto the streets.  This is of course important as a matter of cleanliness and appearance, but it is also critical for keeping our gutters and storm drains clear for what could be a wet fall and winter.

We need your help in properly disposing of leaves which fall on your property.  Please don't rake or blow them onto the street, as this makes it very hard for us to keep the streets and storm drains clean.  You may pick up a FREE permit at City Hall to dispose of your yard debris at Sanitary Disposal's transfer station.

As always, thanks for your help, and if you have any questions, please call or email me at the number and address above.

Best wishes for a safe and happy Fall Season,

Ron Sivey

Street Superintendent
