Hermiston Police News: Repeat offender apprehended

On the 15th of January 2012, at approximately 2:50 PM, Hermiston Police Officers observed Ramel Rodriguez 31 years of age of 315 Willow Fork Drive, Boardman, as a passenger in a black 1991 Honda Accord with Oregon plates ZEF438.  Rodriguez was currently wanted on outstanding felony warrants and was wanted for questioning in a stolen vehicle investigation from November of 2011 out of this agency.

Hermiston Police News: Preliminary statement for "Gotta Stop" mini mart shooting

The Hermiston Police Department along with the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office as well as detectives from the Major Crime Team (comprised of the Oregon State Police, Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Pendleton Police Department, Umatilla Police, and Stanfield Police) are working together on an incident that took place at the Gotta Stop mini mart (located at 1580 W Highland Ave – Hermiston) at approximately 3:40 PM. 

Hermiston Police News - Robbery suspects arrested and charged

On the 28th of December 2011, at approximately 2:27 PM, officers were dispatched to Fiesta Foods located at 1875 N 1st Street, Hermiston, on a report of a dispute taking place in the parking lot possibly involving loss prevention employees from the store.  Officers arrived within minutes and took two males into custody.

HPD News: Vandal arrested; weekend accident report

On the 11th of December 2011, at approximately 12:05 AM, a 17 year old male formerly residing at 345 E Dogwood Ave #B, Hermiston, was taken into custody for having just been involved in the unlawful application of graffiti at View Crest Apartments located at 525 SW 13th Place in Hermiston.

The 17 year old had a detention warrant for his arrest issued by the Oregon Youth Authority due to having absconded from their custody.

Hermiston Police News - Suspect arrested on multiple charges

On the 7th of December 2011, at approximately 6:30 AM, officers responded to Tower Apartments on a report of a 4 wheeler that had just been stolen out of the back of a pickup.  Officers were able to track the ATV based on the noise of the engine, from Tower Apartments at 1150 S. Hwy 395 to the east where they eventually caught up with the suspect in the area of Canal Road (approximately 2 miles away).

Hermiston Police News - Early release leds to second arrest

On the 7th of October 2011, at approximately 7PM, the Hermiston Police Department arrested Kristina L. Moore 23 years of age, of 1216 NE 4th Street, Hermiston on (2) Failure to Appear warrants (totaling $70,000) out of Umatilla County.  Moore was processed at the Hermiston Police Department and later lodged at the jail in Pendleton. Moore was later released from custody.

Hermiston Police News - Juvenile taked into custody for burglary

On the 30th of September 2011, at approximately 6PM, a 14 year old Hermiston male was taken into custody for his alleged involvement with a burglary that took place at a residence in Country Squire Estates (1500 NE 10th Street, Hermiston).

The male was ultimately charged with Burglary in the First Degree, Theft in the First Degree, (13) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (based on firearms stolen), and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

Hermiston Police Department News - Suspect taken in to custody and charged in sex abuse case.

On the 29th of September 2011, at approximately 9PM, John A. Bindley 49 years of age of 339 E Highland Avenue, Hermiston, was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in a sex abuse investigation conducted by members of the Hermiston Police Department.
