Hermiston Police News - suspects arrested

On the 23rd of September 2011, at approximately 11:13 PM, Hermiston officers were dispatched to a suspicious call at the Dun Rollin Trailer Park located at 445 E Jennie Ave.  Information received was of a possible disturbance involving several males in a black pickup.

Responding officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Lincoln pickup with Oregon plates 021EXF in the area.  A passenger in the bed of the pickup fled on foot as the traffic stop was initiated.

Hermiston Police Depart. News - Employees report suspicious vehicle - results in apprehending subjects and charging with Felony Theft.

On the 12th of September 2011, at approximately 6:29 AM, officers from the Hermiston Police Department responded to Circle C Equipment located at 333 E Feedville Road, Hermiston on a report of a suspicious vehicle (a 1987 Dodge pickup) on the property.

Hermiston Police News - Suspicious device destroyed

On the 11th of September 2011, at approximately 10:50 AM, officers of the Hermiston Police Department responded to the vacant lot on the southeast corner of W Orchard Ave and S. 1st Street on a report of a suspicious device found on the ground.

Officers secured the scene and requested the assistance of the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad.  OSP responded within minutes and was able to safely destroy the device made from PVC piping.  Evidence collected will be sent to the crime lab for analysis.

Hermiston Police News - Escorting soldiers that are returning from a year long deployment to Iraq. (Sept. 7th - 10AM)

On the 7th of September 2011, at approximately 10:00 AM, the Hermiston Police Department will be escorting the 137 member 3rd Batallion, 116th Cavalry Regiment, Delta Company through Hermiston en route to National Guard Armory at 900 SE Columbia Drive.  The soldiers are returning from a year long deployment to Iraq.

Hermiston Fire and Emergency Services will provide a ladder truck with the United States flag proudly displayed at the entrance of the armory.

Hermiston Police News - Repeat offender arrested

On the 29th of August 2011, at approximately 7:05 AM, Clinton Eugene Springer 29 years of age, a transient of Hermiston, created a disturbance at the Eastside Market located at 582 E Main Street.  Springer fled from the store without paying for $19.11 worth of items and then stole a pickup from the parking lot. 

Hermiston Police News - Traffic stop leads to arrests

On the 27th of August 2011, at approximately 3:30 AM, a black 2004 Ford Mustang with Oregon registration ZBF654 was stopped for careless driving.  Officers of the Hermiston Police Department contacted the occupants in the 300 block of E Dogwood Avenue.

The driver was identified as Adan Tejeda 26 years of age of 2020 N. Townsend Road, Hermiston.  Tejeda was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, and Careless Driving.

Hermiston Police News - Juveniles Apprehended

On the 23rd of August 2011, at approximately 11:05 PM, alert citizens contacted the Hermiston Police Department and reported (3) males were attempting to get into vehicles in the 1000 block of W. Highland Avenue.

Officers arrived within minutes and contacted (3) brothers in the area of Birch Drive and W. Highland Ave.  After conferring with witnesses and the trio, the brothers were each charged with Attempted Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle.  Two of the brothers, ages 13 and 14 were also charged with Curfew violation. 

Hermiston Police News - Suspect taken into custody

On the 11th of August 2011, at approximately 1:20 PM, Rehyshaun Dominique Joseph Supuni, 20 years of age was taken into custody without incident on a felony arrest warrant for Robbery in the First Degree.

Supuni was wanted for his involvement in/with the robbery that took place at Cashco in Hermiston on the 21st of July 2011. Supuni confessed to his involvement about the crime prior to being transported to the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton, Oregon.

Hermiston Police News - Business owner assists police

Release Date: 

Approximately 30 days ago the Hermiston Police Department was contacted by a concerned business owner reporting suspicious activity (possibly drug related) taking place in and around the area of SW 11th Street and W Orchard Avenue. Members of this agency increased their patrols of that area looking for this reported activity.

Hermiston Police News - Robbery Suspect Charged

On the 20th of July 2011 at approximately 9:39 AM, officers of the Hermiston Police Department responded to the 11th Street Market located at 425 NW 11th Street on a report of a strong arm robbery that had just occurred in which money was stolen from an open cash register.  Officers were on scene in less than a minute of the dispatched call yet the suspect had fled on foot.
