Council Adopts Public Art Master Plan

Art is the expression of human creativity, skill, and the power of imagination. The City of Hermiston is proud to announce the City Councils adoption of a Public Art Master Plan to its City with the goal of placing public art throughout the community.

The City of Hermiston is committed to bring the community Public Art that has the power to energize public spaces, promote community engagement, and transform everyday places into attractive and meaningful environments. To insure this, the City attained community feedback during the public involvement phase to ensure support for art locations and also provide five Themes & Values for the plan. The City is looking forward to the Themes and Values identified by the community in the plan, which are: Water, Agriculture, Watermelons, Transportation, and Heritage.
