EOTEC Breaks Ground

Release Date:
12/09/2014

After years of planning, ground has finally been broken for the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center.

Initial construction, including site utilities and grading, is being handled by Barton Laser Leveling of Hermiston. Bids for building the event center, rodeo arena and other “vertical construction” have not yet been awarded.

A site plan and walk-through video showing what the new fairgrounds and event center will look like can be found at www.eotechermiston.com. The project is on schedule to be completed in time for the 2016 Umatilla County Fair and Farm City Pro Rodeo.
