Hermiston Police News: Intoxicated Teen Lodged at Juvenile Department

On the 27th of February 2014 at approximately 1:15AM, officers of the Hermiston Police Department were dispatched to the area of E. Beech Avenue and NE McNary Avenue on a report of a shot having been fired.  Officers canvassed the area and found a parked Ford F150 pickup that had been damaged.

The investigation led to taking an intoxicated 17 year old male into custody from inside 230 E. Beech Avenue.  The male was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  The male was later transported and lodged at the juvenile detention facility in Pendleton.

During the process of taking the juvenile into custody, Olga G. Espain (the mother of the youth), 35 years of age of 525 NW 7th Street, Hermiston, was arrested for Interfering with a Police Officer.  Espain was transported to the Hermiston Police Department and processed with a citation to appear.
