Hermiston Police News: Man Who Crashed Vehicle into Business Arrested

Over the last several days, detectives from the Hermiston Police Department have actively sought Loreto R. Ramos for questioning related to his suspected involvement in the single vehicle crash into the side of the Eastern Oregon Mobile Slaughter business located on West Hermiston Ave. Detectives even attempted to contact Ramos at one of his places of employment in Prescott, Washington.

On the 18th of June 2014, Ramos was interviewed at the Hermiston Police Department. Ramos was cooperative with detectives and gave an account of what happened during the early morning hours of June 14th. Ramos was processed at the Hermiston Police Department before being lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on the following charges:

  • (1) count of Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver (Hit/Run)
  • (1) count of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree
  • (1) count of Reckless Driving

Ramos was also processed on a Failure to Appear warrant out of Umatilla County for Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Elude, Reckless Driving, and Theft. That warrant was issued in 2000.
