HURA Issues First Facade Grant, Funds Still Available

The City of Hermiston has issued its first reimbursement award for an Urban Renewal District Facade Grant.  Businesses and property owners in the downtown area are encouraged to apply for these funds which have been dedicated to help improve and upgrade the appearance of properties in the downtown.

The Facade Grant Program can offer grant awards of up to 50% of the total project's cost, with a maximum grant award of $10,000.  Smaller grant requests are encouraged, also.  The award recently issued to Rob Shaefer to make repairs to the exterior of his building was a 20% match, for a total of $591.48.
