Umatilla County Cultural Grant Announced

The Umatilla County Cultural Coalition has announced grant opportunities for the 2012-2013 Oregon Cultural Trust Participation Grant Program.  Funding for this program is provided by the Oregon Cultural Trust, Oregon's innovative public-private partnership that supports the State's arts, heritage, and humanities.  Grants will be used in support of local projects which further Umatilla County's Cultural Plan.  You may view the full Cultural Plan online at


Last year's local grant cycle (2011-12) supported 15 projects from around the county, including funding for artists-in-residence; youth arts programs and field trips; the purchase of library equipment; an art show; and historical exhibits.


Available funding for this grant cycle will be determined by the Oregon Cultural Trust.  Grant application information and guidelines can be found hereApplications must be received before 4pm on Friday, October 5, 2012.  Projects should be planned and ready to execute.  Successful applicants will be notified by early November, 2012.  Grant funding must be expended by June 14, 2013 and a final report submitted by June 28, 2013.
