Parks and Recreation Committee
The Parks and Recreation Committee advises the City Council and Planning Commission on issues related to Hermiston’s physical parks and recreational facilities and programs. Members gather public input, review and recommend policies, operational and capital budget needs, as well as potential indoor and outdoor recreational spaces and programs for the community, to include acquisition, design, development, maintenance and promotions of all parks and recreation projects to the City Council to maximize the use and quality of local facilities and programs.

Meetings
The committee meets with representatives from the City Council and Parks and Recreation Department on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Center, with the exception of August and December. Meeting minutes and agendas are available online.
