Code Enforcement Information and Complaints

When a property or vehicle violates the city codes or ordinances, the City of Hermiston Code Enforcement Official assists in resolving the issue by working with the property owner to find a solution.

Some of the most common Code violations are:

  • Overgrown Lawn and Weeds (over 15 inches high)
  • RVs, Boats, and Trucks parked in the street (for more than 72 hours)
  • Garbage/ Junk/ Attractive Nuisances
  • Abandoned Vehicles
  • Abandoned/ Neglected/ Vacant Buildings
  • Blowing Dust
  • Improper Parking (wrong way, on sidewalk, blocking driveways, etc)
  • Road Obstructions (basketball hoops, toys, etc)
  • Garage Sale signs prohibited (signs attached to utility, streetlight, or other traffic control or otherwise located in the public right-of-way)
