Hermiston Urban Renewal Agency

The Hermiston Urban Renewal Agency (HURA) was formed by the Hermiston City Council in August, 2013 for the purpose of revitalizing the downtown core area (PDF) of the city. The Planning Commission hears and makes recommendations to the City Council, who acts as the HURA Board of Directors, regarding facade grant applications.

There are three urban renewal districts in the City of Hermiston. The Downtown Urban Renewal Area, the Southwest Hermiston Urban Renewal Area, and the North Hermiston Urban Renewal Area.
