Bulletin Board
The Hermiston Public Library bulletin board is available for posting information related to local educational, cultural, intellectual, or charitable activities and events. The library provides, at its discretion, limited space for the distribution of community information material or the posting of announcements, which present current and relevant information about activities and services.
Distribution or posting of community information materials does not indicate the HPL’s endorsement of the issues or events promoted by the materials.
- Announcements of Library programs have priority over all other community information.
- Announcements of the Friends of HPL and City of Hermiston have secondary priority.
- All other Hermiston community announcements will be posted on a first come first served basis.
- All items must be approved by the Library Director or their representative, items posted without approval may be discarded when identified.
- All activities and events noted in the materials for distribution and display must be open to all.
- Announcements will be posted no more than four weeks prior to the event, also, services or programs that are not date specific may be posted for no more than four weeks display time.
- Announcements will not be approved if they seek to persuade politically or religiously, solicit members, the sale of merchandise, or employment opportunities.
- Each item submitted is considered on a case–by–case basis; approved items will be date stamped.
- The availability of space may limit the posting of announcements. In general, items accepted will be 8 1/2" x 11" or smaller.
- Items that suggest endorsement by HPL will not be accepted.
