Distribution & Logistics

"Geographically, Hermiston was an efficient location for us to build a full center." -Brian Anderson, FedEx Freight,
East Oregonian, Sept. 2011

Wal-Mart and FedEx are both currently taking advantage of Hermiston's efficient location, and outstanding transportation infrastructure with their distribution centers Because Hermiston is committed to distribution & logistics as a key component of its economic development mix, the city joined with other partners across the state to hire Foote Consulting Group to perform a distribution center analysis of the region. This analysis shows that in all aspects (freight, labor, electricity, taxes, etc.), the Hermiston-area is the best place in the Northwest to locate a distribution and logistics facility.
