Annual Budget

The City of Hermiston operates on a fiscal budget year from July 1-June 30. The budget includes a general fund as well as a variety of utility and project-specific funds.

The budget is prepared in accordance with the State of Oregon budget law and best practices established by the Government Finance Officers Association and is developed on the foundation of the city’s adopted financial policies. The budget is reviewed by the appointed Budget Committee and reviewed and approved by the elected City Council.
