Property Release
 

Property is released by our Evidence Custodian who can be contacted Monday through Thursday (every other Friday) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Appointments are not required but strongly encouraged to assist in the speedy return of property.  To reach our Evidence Custodian please call (541) 667-5112 or send an email.

 

Storage and Retrieval Facts

 

Evidence/Seized Property:  Wait 30 days and then contact the Evidence Custodian for release information.  Items will be released 60 days after court adjudication of the case.  If a special circumstance or need is involved, please contact the Evidence Custodian.  Items not picked up within 4 months (120 days), after court adjudication, will be disposed of without further notice.

Found/Safekeeping Property:  Found/safekeeping items will be held for 4 months (120 days).

  • Finders of Property:  After 90 days and prior to 120 days, contact the Evidence Custodian for information on the procedure that must be followed to claim this property.  After 120 days, items will be disposed of in accordance with department policy.
