Jackie M. Linton

Jackie is a long-time Hermiston resident who began attending City Council meetings as a concerned citizen and decided to run for a seat to be a part of the decision-making process in helping the community reach its full potential.

She received a Masters in Education from Eastern Oregon University and spent several years as a substitute teacher. She now works on a local solar farm.

Community Involvement

Jackie is a member of the Hermiston Cultural Awareness Coalition and Altrusa International, and has previously served on the city's Budget Committee and Library Board.

Why Jackie thinks Life is Sweet in Hermiston

"I think life is sweet in Hermiston because of the people. I have met so many people who are willing to listen and to help those in need. I have met so many people that love Hermiston and, like me, want to live here forever."
