Rod S. Hardin

Rod is married to wife Shiela, and has 4 children (Stephanie Evans, Doug Hardin, Greg Hardin, and Rachel Burns), and 11 grandchildren. Rod enjoys gardening, tennis, golf, and traveling. Rod graduated High School from Mac-Hi in Milton-Free water and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science Teaching from Eastern Oregon University and Masters Degree in Science Teaching from Portland State University. Rod is a Principal, Teacher, & Pastor at Hermiston Christian Center.

Community Service, both Past and Present

Rod is the Hermiston Christian Center Pastor, and a member of the Community Accountability Board (CAB), Agape House Board, NLC Small Cities Council and Steering Committee, NLC Public Safety and Crime Prevention Committees.

Council Appointment

Rod was elected in 1992 and became involved because he wanted to serve the Hermiston Community.
