Hermiston Tree Lighting Celebration & Lighted Parade
Gather around Hermiston's Christmas Tree to watch Santa arrive and flip the switch! This community tradition is on the First Thursday in December on Festival Street. Music, carolers, performances, vendors and a visit from Santa pack the night! Dress warm and be ready for some photos!
4:30pm: Live Music Begins
5:45pm: Lighted Holiday Parade
6:15pm: Santa Arrives & Tree Lighting
6:25-7:30pm: Santa available for photos
LIGHTED HOLIDAY PARADE
Light up your car, truck, tractor and more! This parade is an open invitation to get out and share in the holiday spirit! Businesses, groups and individuals encouraged to participate!

Parade Details:
Thursday, December 5th, 2024
4:30pm - Staging and Check-in at Hermiston Community Center
5:00pm - Line up
5:45pm - Parade route starts (parade will make one pass along main street, then loop back around via Hurlburt and park along Main Street to display vehicle/implement and watch the Tree Lighting).
7:00pm - Depart
- DO NOT use a representation of either Santa or Mrs. Claus in your parade The use of elves or other holiday characters is acceptable. This will help to avoid duplication and confusion of young spectators as the final entry of the parade is designated for Santa Claus.
- All entries/floats MUST BE Lighted in some way.
- For safety purposes, please do not throw candy from moving vehicles.
