Swim Lessons

Swim lesson kids

Welcome to our Swim Lesson Program. While participating in swimming lessons, you will learn all the necessary swim skills to become a proficient swimmer.

When registering a child for multiple sessions of swim lessons, please keep them in the same level for all sessions. Aquatic Center staff will make the changes necessary if that child is ready to move to a different level. Please read the descriptions below and choose the appropriate class. Hermiston Parks and Recreation reserves the right to remove a participant from any class if we deem it unsafe for that participant to be in that level. We cannot guarantee there will be an open spot in the appropriate class for the removed participant.

Swim Lesson Registration

In-person registration in February and March at the Hermiston Community Center.  Online registration will open in May.

IMPORTANT!

If registering for multiple sessions, you must register for the same level for each session. Aquatic staff will then advance the swimmer to the next level in the same time slot (this is built into our lesson framework). We CANNOT move a swimmer down, if you try to force a swimmer to a higher level to fit your schedule, you may lose out on that session and refunds may not be processed.

Are you wondering what level your child was in back in 2022? Please check your CivicRec Account under Transaction History. Please be courteous of our time as we are working diligently to get the Pool ready!
